My Experience Having the Second Dose of Covid Vaccine

Four weeks have been passed since I got the first dose of Covid-19 Vaccine. I got the second dose in the different place with the first dose. It was because the place that I got the first dose didn’t serve the second dose. My experience started at 4:50 AM. My mother woke me up at 4:50 AM because she was worried, I didn’t get the Vaccine. Then, after I woke up, I had a bath, and I ate my breakfast, and me and my father left at 6:30 AM to T2 Juanda Airport. 

After we arrived, we saw the airport was very quiet. Me and my father started to think, whether the vaccination would still be held or not. Then, my father asked the officer there. The officer said we had to try to ask the Hospital. After that, somebody asked my father too. He also got confused with the situation. My father asked that man to follow my father to the Hospital. The hospital is in the military area. So, it meant if we wanted to go to the hospital, we had to pass the Military security first. When my father wanted to pass them, my father asked the Military security about the Vaccination. They said that the Vaccine was not available. My father then called my mother and said that the Vaccine was not available. Then my mother said to go home first. 

When me and my father were on the journey to go home, we saw in JX International Building there was a Vaccination Program but it was so crowded. In that time, I still did not know that later, I would get the Vaccine there. After I arrived, my mother and my father searched for the Vaccination Program. After trying hard, my mother and my father got a schedule. Then, me and my father went to Gedung Wijaya Kusuma at 12.00 PM. It is located at Dukuh Kupang, near my house. When we arrived, me and my father wanted to register, the officer said it was the Vaccination Program for 18 years old plus program. I am 12, and it is still a long time until I am 18 plus. So we went home again, and I started my napping time. 

When I was about to sleep, my mother woke me up at 14:15 PM and said to me that me and my father had to go to JX International Building. In that time I felt very sleepy but my mother kept asking me to wake up and go. My mother woke me up because she just got an information, that in JX International Building, there was Vaccines available for my age. I replied her that when me and my father about to went home from T2 Juanda Airport, I saw that in that area was so crowded. My mother said, maybe at the time was not as crowded as before. I woke up with a disappointment feeling. Me and my father left our home and go to JX International. After we arrived, we saw that it was not as crowded as before. Then we parked our car, went to registration table, and passed two posts for data checking. I got the Vaccine. This time, the injection was very deep. It was deeper than the first shot and it felt hurt. Me and my father went home happily with grateful feeling. From this experience I learn to be more passionate and as my mother said in this life we need to fight and struggle in pursuing the good things.
